Located by the sea in the bay of Tamaris, you will enjoy a pleasant stay, total disorientation due to the exotic setting of the place. A beach (not referenced) is 50m from the house that welcomes you.

If you like walking, along the corniche to 20 mn on foot (about 1,8km) you can go on the sand beach nearest. "Les Sablettes" long strip of fine sand, completely refurbished, is a very beautiful beach worthy of the most beautiful resorts.

From the beach, you can see the Two Brothers, emerging rocks at the tip of Cape Sicié. A legend says that an octopus lives under these rocks. It is a place that welcomes many boaters and diving clubs whose objective is the visit of a wreck located in the immediate vicinity. Shops are also present at Les Sablettes and during the summer, a night market is set up in July and August.

thumb_port_du_manteauWith its coastline enamelled with wild landscapes, its wooded natural massif bordering the Mediterranean, with its climate of unparalleled sweetness, our city is one of the exceptional Provençal sites. Starting from Les Sablettes, from La Verne to Jonquet, via Fabrégas, the coastline is an immense pink palette, then lilac pink with shades of pearl gray (George Sand). At 358m above sea level, the Cap Sicié massif overlooks the coastline and offers an admirable view of the Hyères islands to the east, the cliffs of Cassis to the west, passing by the first massifs of the Maures, the Isthmus of the Sablettes, the harbor of Toulon and the hills of the Sainte Baume.

From yesterday to today, a tradition of fishing: aquaculture and mussel culture. The breeding of wolves and sea bream has been practiced in Lazaret Bay for a dozen years. The conditions are ideal for the growth of fish. Some aquaculturists sell their fish directly. Visits to aquaculture farms in the bay of Laza Ret, are organized by the city.

parcs à moulesAs for the parks of mussels which are a very old Seynoise tradition, they are still preserved today. Still in Lazaret Bay, the workshops of the mussel growers are small cabins mounted on stilts above the water. The mussels of Tamaris (formerly called unduly mussels of Toulon) are very famous. They are found in fishmongers or directly in mussel growers.

Nearest is the landing stage for Toulon (600m), from Toulon, shuttles to the islands of Hyères (Porquerolles, Le Levant and Port Cros) leave every day. The archipelago of the islands of Hyères shines with all its splendor off our coast of Var and constitutes the extreme southern point of Provence. These islands present a very complete variety of Mediterranean landscapes, ranging from maquis to fertile and cultivable plains, veritable gardens in a sea of exceptional purity to the seabed rich in colors.

La Seyne sur Mer

Situated at the foot of the Cap Sicié, La Seyne sur Mer is a town in southern Provence maritime, open on the harbor of Toulon and on the high seas. It has a rich heritage because it is a former center of the naval industry . It is also a pleasant seaside resort.

One of the most beautiful places of the Seyne is the Tamaris cornice: you can enjoy superb views and admire beautiful villas that will remind you of the rich past of the Seyne. This cornice and its houses have seen many famous artists come to the end of the last century: Renoir, d'Annunzio, Georges Sand, ....
You will also find beautiful villas with Moorish architecture, an ornamental style borrowed from Islamic art, with roof terraces. One of the most beautiful is the Institute of Marine Biology of the University of Lyon.
